Introduction

The Food for the Hungry International (FHI) is an international organisation and was founded in 1971 by Dr. Larry Ward with the vision to provide special focus on the world’s physically and spiritually hungry.  Our objectives are:

  • To Provide food and other goods and services of immediate necessity;
  • To help the needy become self-supporting;
  • To provide medical services;
  • To train volunteers in relief work;
  • To carry out research and development on fundamental solutions for hunger;
  • To operate such home for purpose of carrying out the objectives;
  • To carry out any other relief activities;
  • To develop network with other similar organisations, without regard to creed, social, status, race and gender.

FHI Malaysia was registered under the Societies Act (1966) with a tax exempt status and launched in 2006 by YB Datuk Dr.Yee Moh Chai, Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology.
