FHI Malaysia Orphanage Building Project located in Hope Village, Kg Laya-Laya, Tuaran is now named as “Sabah Methodist Children’s Home” It was part funded by FHI Malaysia (www.fhimalaysia.org), The Lung Yen Association, Sabah Credits Corporation and Sabah Methodist Church . It can accommodate up to 20 children from the poorest of the poor family. We take this opportunity to thank the public who had donated through Long Piao Piao Charity Dinner Show in year 2009.
Orphanage Project, Jalan Sulaman, Kota Kinabalu
A philanthropist has donated half an acre of land facing Jalan Sulaman, Tuaran for FHIM to build an orphanage to care for orphans and homeless children.
Donations from Sabah Credit Corporation(SCC)
On 24 June 2009 Sabah Credit Corporation (SCC) General Manager Datuk Vincent Pung presented the Letter of Intent to Lung Yen Association Chairman’s Hsieh Yang Yui .The letter affirmed that SCC will partly finance a charity project of building the FHIM orphanage. SCC will contribute RM100,000 towards the RM350,000 project.
YB Datuk Teo Chee Kang, Sabah Credit Corporation Chairman witnessed the occasion .The contribution comes under SCC Corporate Social Responsibility Programme .

The Lung Yen Association in collaboration with the Food For the Hungry International, Sabah, Malaysia (FHIM) organised a charity dinner on 18th.September 2009 at Sutera Harbour Resort .
The dinner aimed at raising funds for the construction of the orphanage. The Organizing Committee led by Hsieh Yang Vui ,chairman of Lung Yen and CK Tan, president of FHIM extended an invitation to YB Datuk Peter Pang to be the Guest of Honour at the function.
Datuk Peter Pang made a personal financial contribution.
Also present during the meeting is FHIM Sabah Board of Directors(2008-2010) which includes its honorary advisor and founding president Datuk Dr. Mechiel Chan and vice president Datuk Chin Kui Bee.
The dinner showcased a popular Taiwan singer, Long Piao Piao. Local artists include Mia Palencia and Roger Wang.
The funds raised became part of FHIM contribution towards the orphanage project.
